Turning Point Church is a non-denominational spirit filled church located in the great town of Cleburne, TX. Cleburne is a great place to live as we still have that small home town feel yet we are only 35 minute drive from downtown Fort Worth & 45 minute drive to downtown Dallas. This is a great place to raise a family.
Turning Point is a little over 2 years old and is a very loving family oriented church. We are starting to see some growth now and we are looking to find that person who knows that they have been called by God to teach and train the children. With the small size at the current time we cannot offer any salary but we do commit to offer salary as the church grows. Our youth pastor, worship pastor and senior pastor have left good paying positions to answer the call of God for this work. The vision is large and as the church grows and prospers all of our staff will be well taken care of... it is just that none of them are doing it for the money. Think of it as missionary service in America.
This position will be over the children from the age of 4 years old thru 6th grade. Right now we have children's church on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. There are helpers here to assist you in this job. We are looking for someone who is creative and understands the importance of teaching the children the Word of God and not just filling the time with video and games. We do want the learning time to be fun and interactive and we do have a nice puppet stage as well.
Our vision is to one day to operate a sidewalk Sunday school that reaches out to the children at apartment complexes in the community. Taking the gospel to kids who did not get taken to church.
We would like to one day operate a bus system to bring children and adults in that otherwise would not be in church.
This position will be over vacation Bible school, children's plays and so forth that the church offers.
It is a great opportunity for someone with a heart and calling.
Requirements are:
Must be actively involved currently in your home church with positive references on your faithfulness to the church.
Must have some experience either as a children's pastor, teacher or aid in a children's ministry or Sunday school program. You do not have to have been the one in charge.
You must have a servants heart.
Your spouse must be in complete agreement on coming here.
You must have an active walk with Christ and your core beliefs must match ours. We are non-denominational but would be like an Assembly of God/Baptist church We do believe in all of the gifts of the Spirit in operation today. This includes healing, tongues, words of knowledge and so forth.
And lastly you must love working with children.
We understand that you are looking for a position that offers a salary and that is reasonable. But hopefully you are looking for where God needs you the most. It takes courage and faith to say Yes to God sometimes. We are in need of the person that God has for us and if it is you then please be obedient and answer the call.
To apply for this position send us a resume, a letter telling us about you, your family, how you were saved, and any other info you think we would like. We want to know you. Please include a list of references and a photo of you and your family. INCLUDE any questions that you might have. Email this information to the church at info@lifesturningpoint.com
Thank You
