Director of Programs and Services

The Director of Programs & Services is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and guidance of Village programs and clinical services to children and foster parents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

Leads the recruitment, selection and admission process for intake of children following all state and organizational guidelines. Meets regularly with the COO to review guidelines, admissions and placement issues related to the well being of the children.
Provides leadership to program staff and direct supervision of Foster Parents, Relief Parents, Child Welfare Supervisor, TLP Staff, Therapeutic staff, Child & Family Services Coordinator, and other Village staff as assigned. Provides leadership and indirect supervision of Child Welfare Specialists.
Provides oversight to all Village programs assuring program effectiveness and system are in place to track success and areas of improvement. 
 Acts as primary liaison to DCFS and other service providers for all program and services.  
 Assures the clinical needs of the children are met and properly documented. 
 Acts as primary support in the development of quality standards for program and services. 
 With the approval of the COO, employs and terminates Village program staff and works with Supervisors to employ and terminate staff as needed. 
 In collaboration with the COO convenes and directs meeting with appropriate staff to assure proper understanding of supportive services are operating effectively to enhance services to the Village. 
 Works with Human Resources in the selection, training and development of foster parents to assure homes are adequately staffed with appropriate trained personnel. 
 Provides needed leadership to assure Village census goals are met or exceeded. 
 Assists Human Resources in the development and implementation of staffing plans, new employee training and ongoing staff training. 
Works with the COO and other staff and volunteers for new program development. 
 Works closely with the Community Advisory Board and Development office, in areas of program development and funding to meet or exceed goals. 
 In collaboration with COO and Village Manager works to develop and monitor annual operational budget. 
 Collaborates with Village Manger to assure the oversight of well-organized and coordinated services within the Village. 
 Assures development, implementation and supervision of related programs and special activities including community involvement and fund development activities to promote awareness and support. 
 Serves as the primary liaison to State, local government and other community service providers to promote and support programs and services related to organizational activities. 
 In collaboration with Director of Quality, assures records are maintained as required by the agency, COA, H.R., DCFS, state and federal law. 
 Maintains close communication with Foster Parents, Supervisors, Program Staff, and other agency staff as necessary. 
 Assists in the preparation of the annual budget, and any other budgets as required by the CEO, COO and CFO. 
 Submits weekly census reports and updates to the COO. 
 Comply with all SOS policies, state, federal, county and city laws, rules and regulations. 
 Attend general agency and Village staff meetings, in-service education/training, individual supervision, and other meetings as directed by the COO. 
 Other duties as assigned.

POSITION PURPOSE
The PSR Program Therapist is responsible for performing a wide variety of therapeutic activities as directed by the Program Director and the Clinical Director.  The PSR Program Therapist will be responsible for a caseload and will provide individual and family therapy as ordered by the licensed practitioner.  The PSR Program Therapist also conducts therapeutic groups (if applicable), psychosocial assessments, screenings, and assists in the admissions process as needed. This individual leads multidisciplinary treatment team in formulating the individualized treatment plan, conducts weekly treatment team staffings  so that clients have their treatment plans reviewed on a monthly basis,  and coordinates discharge planning.  This position has the responsibility of providing individual and family services in at the PSR program and therefore the Therapist is expected to be at the PSR program providing therapy Monday through Friday, during normal hours of operation. In addition, the PSR Program Therapist will provide therapy in the clients’ homes and community as needed.  This position works with a team of two or more counselors who provide the psychosocial rehabilitation services to clients and must take a role of clinical leadership in working with such counselors.  In addition, the Program Therapist must participate in regular meetings with the entire PSR program, as directed by the PSR Program Coordinator.  The PSR Program Therapist must be computer literate and have proficiency with the internet, online applications, and email.  Strong written communication and interpersonal skills are a must.  The principal functions of the position identified shall not be considered as a complete description of all the work requirements and expectations that may be inherent in the position.

About the Company:


The Potter’s House Homes For Children is seeking a Program Director for its Residential Program located in Dekalb/Gwinnett county Georgia. Job Description:

This is a  management position, must have excellent management skills. Candidate will manage up to 20 staff members.
 
Ensure that delivery of services by all staff is congruent with Individual Resiliency Plans and requirements by State and County agencies
Schedule staff to ensure adequate program coverage and appropriate resident rehabilitation assignments.
Assure that the program’s housekeeping, dietary, and other basic life needs are being met.
Develop and maintain relationships within the community to foster being a good neighbor.
Maintain and develop relationships with volunteers interested in supporting the program.
Assure compliance with all applicable licensing regulations.
Ensure that all staff is working as a team.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Insurance Specialist to work in our Hartford office.  You must have at least 2 years of experience in coverage verification/benefit determination and knowledge of governmental reimbursement criteria.  Knowledge of third party/managed care contracts related to Agency services is preferred.  The basic duties of the position are:
 

Verify benefit coverage for services requested
Secure authorization/documentation requirements specific to payor
Contact insurance/managed care companies to obtain initial /ongoing pre-authorization
Document data/authorization to online billing system
Communicate authorizations to staff
Run daily reports
Negotiate billing rates
Provide reimbursement related education to clinical teams
Inform clients/referral sources of Agency product lines

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Plan and produce core fundraisers aligned with MADD’s strategic plan, including marketing, managing and executing logistics for all fundraising activities.
2. Research, develop and cultivate a dynamic prospect list including revenue projections and secured sponsorships.
3. Proactively and consistently communicate to the National Office on the progress of core fundraisers.
4. Develop, implement and manage fundraising strategies according to the annual development plan and strategy budgets, goals and objectives.
5. Implement activities to integrate MADD programs/services with participants of MADD’s core fundraisers.
6. Actively network through community organizations as appropriate to support fund development.
7. Manage contract and agreement procedures to ensure successful fundraising implementation.
8. Responsible for fulfillment of all local and national sponsorship benefits, according to the sponsorship agreement.
9. Develop and implement a fundraising volunteer recruitment plan to assure adequate volunteer resources for all fundraising activities. 
10. Research public and private foundations to identify unrestricted sources of revenue.
11. Other duties as required.
